The Youth Initiative for Human Rights, an NGO with its headquarters in Serbia and regional office in Prishtina, is looking for a

Project Coordinator

to work in Podgorica and be responsible for YIHR’s activities in Montenegro.

Job Profile:
The Project Coordinator will work in Montenegro under the supervision of the Program Coordinator

Specific tasks:
• Set up the regional office in Montenegro
• Ensure liaison and contact with other NGOs in Montenegro
• Investigate and follow up on cases of human rights violations
• Monitor implementation of transitional laws
• Ensure daily contact with YIHR’s office in Belgrade
• Take part in project proposal writing
• Implement project proposals for Montenegro under the supervision of the Program Coordinator.
Candidates must have:
• Experience in NGO sector
• Knowledge of the NGO/civil society scene in Montenegro
• Knowledge of domestic laws and legislation
• Experience in human rights and justice areas would greatly be appreciated
• University level education in a relevant discipline. Legal background particular advantage
• Experience and knowledge in project planning and implementation
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent organisational, analytical, interpersonal, communication and drafting skills
