U.S. to assist Special Court

Belgrade, December 21 (Source: B92) - The United States has donated 50,000 dollars to the Organized Crime and War Crimes Department of the Belgrade District Court.

The U.S. Department of Justice will thus fund the purchase of audio equipment for a new courtroom and investigative premises.

The American embassy in Belgrade said in a statement that this assistance will significantly enhance the ability of these institutions to conduct effective and transparent organized crime and war crimes trials, leading to speedier trials and more effective investigations.
